Find Your True North: Reclaiming Your Sovereignty

"Not all those who wander are lost," says the great writer Tolkien. Yoga holds that this "darshana" or viewpoint is the great exploration and invitation of the practice: to be willing to engage with the full spectrum of emotions in this cosmic game of hide and seek we call life. (As we uplevel and grow our capacity to be comfortable holding space for both the seeking & the finding, then we authentically become sovereign over the domains of our bodies, minds and hearts.)

Join Kilkenny for this one-of-a kind magical mindful mystic flow practice where you will journey into the depths of your body unlocking its power through the wisdom of optimal alignment with postures focusing on the sovereign center of your torso a.k.a your "heart" and your "core." When we align and activate optimally these two powerful centers within ourselves in tandem and in equal measure, then we reactivate & reclaim our sovereignty as well as our fluency in our asana practice. This 90 minute intermediate practice (modifications will be offered for folks who want more and for folks who want less) to soulful & upbeat tunes will be initiated with a 5 minute lecture including wisdom nuggets of anatomy; chakras; mantra; mudra; pranayama and will conclude with 5 minute led Mindfulness Meditation & Savasana bathed in soothing classical music.
Class time devoted to lecture: 5-10 minutes

Has the glorification of "busy" in our society have you strung out and stressed out? Realign your body, mind and heart in order to amplify from the inside out & the outside in. Join Kilkenny, Mindfulness & Alignment expert, for this one-of-a-kind dive into the art of attention as you embody various mindfulness techniques throughout your alignment based yoga practice because how you do what you do matters! This 90 minute asana class will be infused with a smattering of inspiring teachings and tales from meditative traditions (i.e. Zen, Hindi and more..) to re-calibrate your psyche. Creative mindfulness/yogic techniques will be peppered throughout so you will leave with some more tools in your arsenal of practices to integrate into your day-to-day life both on and off your mat including breathwork, mudra and more. This Beginner class will be a delight for even the most experienced asana practitioners who want to explore how to incorporate Mindfulness into their day-to-day life and yogic practices while diving deeply into excellence of form & action in the foundational poses.
