Certified Yoga Teacher, Aerial Yoga & Barre Instructor Susan has been practicing yoga for over 15 years. She started taking ashtanga classes at the YMCA in the early 2000s and was immediately bit by the yoga bug! Susan completed her 200-hour teacher training program with Maya Breuer in the Kripalu Hatha Yoga tradition in 2008. Since then, she has been teaching yoga classes including hatha, pre-natal, kids, restorative, and vinyasa throughout the Kanawha Valley. She is an Aerial Yoga Certified Instructor and also has certifications in kids, pre-natal, and restorative yoga. In 2018 she also completed her BDY Barre training with Brown Dog Yoga and her Acro Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Power.
In addition to yoga, she enjoys reading, painting, drawing, traveling, hiking and spinning. Susan works at the University of Charleston School of Pharmacy where she serves as assistant dean of professional and student affairs. She resides in Charleston with her daughters, Katelyn and Madelyn; and her beloved pups. She is excited to join the Yoga Power Team and invites you to meet her on the mat or in the air for aerial yoga!
